Q: iPhone 6 / IOS9 / iTunes

Needing a lot of help.

Im running a iPhone 6 on iOS 9.2 and phone is working fine with no issues.

My macbook is a 2008 Unibody and it won't / can't get anymore updates as its running 10.6.8

As my macbook has got iTunes on it and the version is 11.4 and it won't update as i can't get anymore updates.

My issue is when i plug my phone into my macbook it says its not supported and that i need to download a new version of iTunes but it won't let me.

This means i can't sync / back up  or add anything to my iTunes.

How can i revert back to ISO 8 on my iPhone so it can work with my macbook ?

I don't wan t to spend ££££on a new macbook when the one i have runs and works perfectly.

You will not be able to revert back to a previous version of iOS on your iPhone. When new versions of iOS are released they include a host of security updates that the previous update(s) did not include. Therefore, once a new iOS version is released with these new security updates you are unable to revert back to previous versions out of concern for the security of your device and personal information.

You may wish to check and make sure your current MacBook is capable of running the latest version of iTunes. Here are the requirements for downloading the most recent version of iTunes:

    • To play 720p HD video, an iTunes LP, or iTunes Extras, a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor is required

    • Screen resolution of 1024x768 or greater; 1280x800 or greater is required to play an iTunes LP or iTunes Extras
    • Broadband Internet connection to use Apple Music, the iTunes Store, and iTunes Extras
    • Apple combo drive or SuperDrive to create audio, MP3, or back-up CDs; some non-Apple CD-RW recorders may also work. Songs from the Apple Music catalog cannot be burned to a CD.
