Whenever I am in fullscreen mode in Safari 9 and my cursor gets to the left side of my screen, the auto sidebar pops up. Is there anyway to turn this off? It is driving me insane. This only started after the El Cap update.

i have this problem too, now i never put it to fullscreen mode because of this.

I have found an "solution"
Just put your dock on the left side and the problem was resolved.
But PLEASE send your feedback here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/safari.html
That actually does work, but I don't like the dock being over there.
Will apple ever give a solution, to this like **** annoying and unnecessary problem they invented with this update????
I don't know. Why don't you drop them a line and ask them to undo this the next time they update Safari? We're not the ones you should be directing it to. We're just users helping other users; Apple doesn't read these boards.
My reasoning for posting here was to make sure I was not missing some hidden setting to disable it. I sent Apple feedback through their Safari support after I posted here. Hopefully they will issue an update for it. Back to using Chrome, for now.
