Q: Yosemite upgrade took one iPhoto library and created two Photos libraries -- only one of which can communicate with the iCloud. How can they be merged?
Yosemite upgrade created two Photo Libraries from what had been one iPhoto library on the old operating system. Now there are 2,195 photos and 14 videos in the first Photos library and 1,991 photos and 34 videos in library 2. As far as I can tell there are no duplicate photos. This is a pain because only one of these photo libraries can be designated as the "System Library" capable of communicating with other apps and iCloud. I don't know why the "upgrade" split my photos into two separate libraries and want to simplify by putting everything into the main Photo System Library (so everything can be put in the cloud), but can't seem to find a way to do this. Anyone else have this problem and know how to solve it?
