Hi everyone
I have a brand new mac (with very little currently on it) and have just discovered that 223 of its 256gb storage is 'others',
I've trawled the web and get that 'others' can encompass a lot but the amount, on a brand new mac, seems ridiculous. Any advice?

My guess is that you are looking at the display created from 'About This Mac'.. That has a bug in it and often a Spotlight reindex will correct it.
