Q: Sharing button not working on Safari El Capitain

Since upgrading to the new El Capitain I have not been able to use the share button.

I get a no service pop up underneath it.

Any help is most appreciated.

Might be corrupted Safari preferences after the upgrade to El Capitan.

    Quit Safari if it's open.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist

Click Go then move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the trash.

Relaunch Safari then try the Share button.

I tried this and all it did was restart safari saying welcome to safari.

I went on my website for example and then tried the share button but it still says No service

    Thank you anyway.

I restarted my computer and the share button is working now, thank you.

Another problem I am having is the spinning wheel of death that is happening on every single web page Are you familiar with issues of this?

At least the Share button is working

As for the spinning beach ball when trying to load a web page. Try troubleshooting Safari plugins and extensions. You may have third party software installed that's not compatible with Safari 9.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect:  Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
