my phone has not backed up to iCloud since sept 16th. When I try to back up it will say backing up and when almost done backing up it will stop and will say that it can't be completed.
You may have a corrupt backup or something corrupt on the phone causing the problem. Did you read this section of the support article?
A message says my backup could not be completed
- Make sure you're connected to the Internet with Wi-Fi.
- If possible, try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network.
- See if you have enough iCloud storage for your backup, and get more storage if you need it.
- If you need more help, contact Apple Support.
IF none of that helps, turn iCloud backup off, sign out of your Apple ID and force restart the Phone. Settings>iCloud>Backup>Off. Settings>App Store & iTunes>Apple ID>Sign Out. Force restart the phone. No data will be lost. To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
After the phone starts up, sign in again, turn rhe iCloud backup on again and try to backup.
