When I connect my iPod all I get is "The iPod “XXXX iPod” cannot be updated because it contains files that are in use by another application." If I continue I can make no modifications to songs, music or playlists. I have updated Mac to El Capitan. I have tried reseting the iPod and rebooting the Mac with no success. It does state that it is extracting the update and then tries to sync until notice above is displayed.
