Not getting notification to update my iOS from 8.4.1 to 9

I think you only get a notification if the update has been downloaded. Check settings> general> Software update to see if you have a update available.

Thank you. I did not know that. I have to download first then I see a badge in settings that I have a update. More importantly is are you getting the updates ?

A good advice: Don't update to v9. It will be a bad choice.

I checked the is no Notification Center> Settings button that you can check to make sure is on. You can go through the basic trouble shooting steps but that's no guarantee the update notification will appear. I don't get the Notifications and don't worry about them.

Correct, hat's what you should be getting. A second badge should show in settings> general. I have neither until I download the update.

To me the most important is that Apple say Airplay between any device, but it is a lie. I can't airplay from my iPad to my PC. But I could with other software in v8. So the whatever Apple "airplay" that is defuct has broken functionality. Sadly I was to late to downgrade my iPad, so I more or less now have a useless iPad for my purposes (as I have to use Airplay a lot).

But in general there is a far as I can see no advantages in "up"grading this time, but several disadvantages. I guess that is also why Apple has blocked the "down"grade option as many people would do if possible.

My best advice is to stay happy on 8 and never worry about 9.
