Greetings,
So, I downloaded OSX EC, currently have OSX Yosemite 10.10.5, I went to download OSX EC, and the download was successful, but the install has never initiated. I closed all the programs manually. I restarted 2 X's. I did a full shutdown/reboot. Still, the APP Store shows OSX EC has downloaded, but the install continues to fail to launch. Can someone please help here?

Open your Applications Folder and look for an Install OS X El Capitan application and double-click on it.
No joy in the applications folder. When I try to re-download, the APP Store just spins a windmill, never engaging to download again or launch the install. I double checked the download folder and nothing is there either. Additional thoughts? - - Thank you for the response.

Troubleshooting the Mac App Store - Apple Support may provide some clues.
Also, read can't download Lion OS - says it's been downloaded already, but it hasn't been for some additional options.
Thank you for both the advice and the extra article. I get the same result when I try to access from inside the APP Store, so I will call the number.
