when setting up iPhone do you insert SIM card before or after connecting to computer

I preordered the iPhone 6s and received it in the mail. I wanted to set it up but got confused since the past i always got my phones from AT&T. Do i need to somehow remove the SIM card from my old iPhone and put it into the new one and then connect it to my computer to set it up or is it suppose to be done another way.

If you preordered the iPhone from Apple or a carrier it should already come with a SIM card installed. You will just use the new SIM card to activate the iPhone, no need to transfer SIM cards from the old iPhone to the new one. If you're using an iTunes backup to restore your data then just plug the new iPhone into the computer during setup and you can setup directly from iTunes. If you aren't using an iTunes backup to restore from then you can just setup the new iPhone right out of the box on the iPhone itself using the Setup Assistant -- no computer needed.

I hope this clears things up!

Good luck!
