OS X el capitan failed to download

I have not been able to download OS X el Capitan on to my Macbook Pro (3-inch, Mid 2012; 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5; 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3). Attached along is screenshot of the message i get when i try to download it from the app store . Notice that it shows the download size to be 3kb.

Apple is not here. Apple does not answer questions here. This is a user to user tech support site.


Perhaps most folks here are tired of answering the same question over and over because folks who come here don't research their issue for the answers which are already posted here many times over.


Many folks resolve download and other connection issues by using either OpenDNS or Google Public DNS services. It's best to use it as the DNS configuration in your modem/router/gateway device, but often the configuration in the computer or iOS device will override the other configuration if you don't have access.


Open DNS;

http://www.opendns.com

208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220


Google Public DNS;

https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/

8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
