Q: Uploaded Format in Itunes Match: also Apple Lossless m4a?

The uploaded format from iTunes Match is put in the personal Apple Music iCloud library. It will not be altered. All other matches to music will be in the low 256kpbs mode. Can I upload my own songs in m4a apple lossless format and listen on all devices in the same apple lossless format in iCloud library? Now I connect every device separately to store the Apple Lossless m4a music files.

Would for me make a big difference, not to have to listen to low quality sound.

    Hi,

No. iTunes matches ALAC files as 256 Kbps AAC and transcribes uploaded tracks to 256 Kbps AAC. If you want the original ALAC files on your devices you will need to turn off iTunes Match and sync by cable or wifi.
