Q: Mac very slow after installation of El Capitan/Yosemite

This is actually not a question, but maybe this solution helps some of you guys:

When I had installed OS X Yosemite, I was sometimes a bit disappointed about its performance. I thought this was due to my hardware. It got even worse, when I installed El Capitan: Beachballs all over the place. Fortunately there was also an error message that informed me, that my Photoshop CS5 Service manager wasn't working properly. Since I meanwhile had upgraded to CS6, I was surprised, that the CS5 Application still seemed to run in the background. The Adobe upgrade process hadn't been deleting the old, now unnecessary files.

To make a long story short: I deleted the CS5 related folders at /Library/Application Support/Adobe and instantly the performance speeded up very significantly! Even the startup process on my Air improved from 30 s to 2 s!

Hope this helps some of you who might face this kinda unique problem.

So thanks again Adobe for slowing me down for almost one year and thanks to El Cap for the final hint!

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10)
