Oct 3, 2015 2:24 AM in response to Patricia Mansonby Nicholas Morgan,Don't know if this helps but having ticked Displays have separate spaces you then have to logout and then back in again. To make split view work click and hold on the green button then drag to either the left or right side of the screen before choosing the second app.
Best of Luck

Dec 12, 2015 12:11 PM in response to PizzaBotby montasolo,I have this issue, too. "Displays have separate spaces" is already checked by default. Clicking and holding the green button on the upper left by itself or while holding down Control or Command results just in full screen for the window I'm in.
