after upgrading iphone 6 Plus 16gb from ios 9.0.1 to iOS 9.0.2 most of contacts not appeared. Could recover some of them after checking off contacts in iCloud and then opening again and fussionating them all,but a largo number of contacts remain lost.

Same thing here. I toggled my iCloud contact sync and it did not restore the lost contacts. I checked my icloud contacts online, on icloud.com and the lost contacts were not there either. I looked at my last backup file and found the missing contacts but need to figure out how to get them out of the backup file without restoring everything else and losing the other data (texts, call history, etc) that has been added to my phone since that last backup.
Thx for your reply. after reading other discussion forums it seems there's no way to recover lost data after backing up. Some lost contacts,others photos,and some more lost different kind of archives. Still waiting an Apple's answer. keep in touch.

IM not Apple but if you go into the messages app and search the name you can easily find the bio and number there
