iOS 9.0.2 message reply glitch - text is block by camera icon

Hi, I recently upgraded my iPhone 5s to iOS 9.0.2 and ran into a problem when replying to text messages. I cannot see the text that I am typing in the reply box, because this is blocked by timer indicator box that cannot be moved away. To get around this, I have to press the enter key a few times, and then I can see the tex that I am writing. It's difficult to delete these extra lines, since I cannot see the beginning of the lines I am typing. Therefore I am sending texts nowadays with a few empty lines in front.

Anyone with an idea about how to resolve this, please contribute to this posting.
