Oct 2, 2015 7:38 AM in response to AmishCakeby netisrinivas,None of these work. Quality is fine on speaker or with the headset.. Just did a hard reset and restored the phone but the issue still persists

Oct 2, 2015 7:41 AM in response to netisrinivasby AmishCake,The last thing to try is to restore as NEW - not loading your backup file - to test for a bit to see if something in your backup file is corrupted or one of your apps is affecting the device. If this does not solve the problem, this means that you have a hardware problem and should take the device to your nearest Apple Store Genius Bar (make an appointment first) to have it evaluated for service or replacement.

Oct 2, 2015 8:25 AM in response to AmishCakeby netisrinivas,Tried resetting as a new phone but no.
Brian: tried that earlier but it didn't work
Looks like I'll have to head to the service centre. Irony is I had to replace the phone within two days of buying it for my wife because it wouldn't charge. this problem has now occurred with the phone they replaced it with.
