adding music on iPad iMovie

I am trying to add music to a movie on my iPad, all my music i own is on my mac, i have subscribed to apple music so all my albums are synced across all devices. when i try to add music to my movie it says protected and cannot be added. I have tried to add the music directly to iPad but with apple music it says i can't add music as its already available through wifi across devices???
