Q: How can I get my Mac G4 to boot after cleaner app took something out.

iMac G4 700 won't boot aferusing cleaner program.Can you boot in Terminal and how do you do it.

If you ran so called cleaner software, which are notorious for damaging system software, then you would be best to erase your disk and reinstall your most recent backup.

Someone said you can boot in terminal.When I try to boot it the terminal app shows log in message.

If the Cleaner app removed some important boot component, then Terminal won;t help. I think that "someone" person was thinking of newer Mac OS versions where you can boot from a hidden recovery partition in the case of a main partition problem. That did not become a part of the Mac OS until around v10.7 or 10.8; you have 10.4
