MacBook Air, OS Yosemite 10.10.5, Notes not syncing with iCloud

When creating or updating a Note on my MacBook, it does not show up on either of my iOS 9.0.1 devices. MacBook Air is running Yosemite 10.10.5.

I have verified in System Preferences under iCloud that Notes is checked. I also verified that on my iOS devices.

Thanks for any help you can offer. I have been trying to figure this out for days and have searched the internet.
