Five days since I posted a problem with 'Merge All Windows'. Is there no one who has a fix or comment?
Still not working.
I find the 'merge all windows' works fine for me for all windows apart from a small online radio pop up window I listen to. Every other window merges fine though.
@QuickTimeKirk: The link you provided is not relevant to the problem. THE PROBLEM IS: 'The "Merge All Windows" command does not work on El Capitan / Safari 9.
@Peter O'Toole: What OS X version and what Safari version are you using?
The problem on El Capitan / Safari 9 is that the Merge All Windows command (from the Windows menu) is not working.
Hi there, it's Safari 9.0 and El Cap 10.11. The 'Merge all Windows' command from the windows menu works perfectly on mine with the exception of my internet radio pop up window.
Same as mine, thanks. Some support file or folder for Safari may be corrupted, but I don't know enough to mess with that now.
Did you open up a new user account and see if the issue is the same there? If not, then the issue is with your prefs in your own personal library.
I followed your suggestion and I was able to merge windows. I returned to my account and it worked there too, except...
Here's the situation: I use web-based trading software from OptionsHouse. When I use it I can create additional related windows with other information. All such windows are associated with OptionsHouse. These windows can't be merged to be separate tabs in a singe window, but formerly (before El Capitan/Safari 9) I could merge them using the "Merge All Windows" command.
Thank you very much for this post! I am experiencing the same problem (Safari 9.0.1 and El Captain 10.11.1). Merging windows (even with radio popups) worked perfectly fine in previous versions with Yosemite and this situation is completely annoying.
I hope the issue will be fixed soon.
