disable gamed os x 10.11

I use Little Snitch to lock down my Mac and I constantly get notifications that GameD is trying to connect. I don't do any gaming on my Mac (it's strictly for work) so I'd like to completely shut down/disable GameD as it does me no good. I've found other posts related to older versions of OS X but with El Capitan they don't seem to work. How can I simply disable this service that I don't need or want?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Hello,

I apparently succeeded with this command

launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.gamed.plist

No LittleSnitch hits from gamed after a reboot; I hope it's gone for good.

Regards.

This does not work for me on 10.11.2. Apple seems to have "hardened" that LaunchAgents folder. I cannot do anything in there, even as root. E.g.:

[Sleek:~]# ls -l /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.gamed.plist

-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 1324 Aug 22 22:50 /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.gamed.plist

[Sleek:~]# launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.gamed.plist

/System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.gamed.plist: Could not find specified service

[Sleek:/System/Library/LaunchAgents]# cd /System/Library/LaunchAgents/

[Sleek:/System/Library/LaunchAgents]# touch test

touch: test: Operation not permitted

This is really annoying. This new "gamed" literally tries the network every second, forever. I cannot get rid of it.

UPDATE: Ha! You have to do it NOT as root! Okay never mind. That works. 😕😕😊
