Mail - iCloud account aliases missing, window freezes

Since upgrading to El Capitan on my MacBook Pro, my mail app doesn't show me all the aliases I have setup on my Apple ID. On my iPhone, everything appears just fine with the same Apple ID.

Additionally, when I try to manually add the aliases in Mail > Preferences > Accounts, the window will freeze and pressing OK and/or cancel has no affect. The only to get out of it is to force close mail.

Anyone else having issues? Any suggestions?

me too!

No aliases in mail.app, they show up on the iCloud website and my iPhone iOS 9.0.2 mail app and if I try to add them manually in mail.app El Capitan OS X 10.11 (15A284) and click "Save", the window freezes and then I have to quit out of mail - "don't save", "save" and "cancel" become inoperable, have to manually quit the Mail.app.

I ended up completely removing iCloud from my computer and then re-adding it.

Same problem here 😟 completely removing iCloud from my computer and then re-adding it also worked for me.

How do you remove iCloud from OS X? Are you using windows?

Sign out of iCloud via the iCloud tab in System Preferences. If you're logging in to your mac account using icloud it will ask you to create a local password.
