iOS 9.2 didn't help

What Can I do to restore my iPad 2 to it's original glory. After iOS 9.2 update. Still unable to activate messages. My iPad randomly freezes. I was on the phone with a tech person for over an hour. Did a hard reset to no avail. I'm very frustrated. Is there a way to uninstall 9 and go back to 8. At least it worked. My iPad is almost deemed worthless if I can't send and receive text messages. What's a permanent fix? I keep getting a message that says: Unable to connect the iMessage server. Try again. Very frustrating.

Apple has stopped signing iOS 8.4.1. You can't go back to version 8. You can only pray hard the next iteration of iOS 9 really fixes the problems you're experiencing. If it does and you're happy with that version of iOS 9, leave it alone. Don't upgrade it again, ever.

I'm about to cry these updates are totally ridiculous, horrible. I,m actually in Cali time zone which means my clock is going off 3 hours later than it should. My text messages pictures, and calls are all time stamped wrong my job will depend on these things.

I Agree. Horror explains it. Message appears, and then it just fades out. Can't receive messages on iPad. When I attempt to send messages, they get lost in cyberspace and just hang. I'm also not getting notifications from news organizations like I was before. Please fix this!!!

We're paying almost a thousand dollars for A device that's worth 1.00, all of these so call upgraded, new features etc, are causing hella problems!!!! and i don't see APPLE DOING ANYTHING FAST ENOUGH TO HELP OR COMPENSATE FOR WHAT WERE GOING THROUGH 😠😠

iOs 9.1 works well on both my iPhone4S iPhone5 and iPhone6+, was wondering about iPad2 which is already painful with the latest iteration of iOs8, anybody who can tell me if worth upgrading?

I Would wait to upgrade to os9 my iPad 2 is still suffering miserably. It crashes often when I try to log into messages. It works for a few hours in messages, then it crashes. This latest update has been brutal. They need to fix it...and fix it quickly. Wait. You'll be glad you did.p
