Magic Mouse doesn't scroll or swipe

Since a week, my Magic Mouse doesn't scroll or swipe

I've tried:

use a different Magic Mouse - also on that mouse it didn't work, so it is not (mouse) hardware related

switched the computer on / off several times

deleted the bluetooth.plist and restarted

re-set the PRAM (several times)

logged on as different user

With COM+R repaired the disk and restarted (when in repair mode, the scrolling did work)

checked if I had USBOverdrive installed (which I didn't)

If feel that I've tried every trick I could find on Internet, still it doesn't work. Please help.

Having iMac medio 2011, running Yosemite 10.10.5
