I want to extend the WiFi range of my Time Capsule.

How do I extend the wifi range of my Airport Time Capsule (version 7.7.3)? I live in a log home and I need to get wifi upstairs and into my bedroom. I am getting the wifi signal but it is not strong enough to operate my devices (iPhone 6+, iPad 2, Amazon Fire TV). Where do I put the Airport Express to extend the range? I am confused as to some of the suggestions I am reading about.

Where best to put the Express depends mostly upon whether you have Ethernet (or can place Ethernet cable) from TC to upstairs. With Ethernet you place it any where in the bedroom the cable permits. Without Ethernet you can extent your network wirelessly in which case a location midway between TC and the bedroom Is best. Might have to experiment a bit to find the best place but wirelessly that should be somewhat easy to do.
