Buzzing sound - computer serviced - still buzzing - what was fixed?

Greetings. I just received my MBP after being serviced for an annoying buzzing sound coming the area around my power cord / left speaker. Apple (phone support) acknowledged the problem and so I had my computer shipped out to be fixed. My AppleCare service details clearly show something was done but I can't decifer the 'Service Description and Parts Used' row on the packing slip.

Unfortunately I'm still hearing the buzzing sound, which by the way goes away when I unplug my power cord, so what exactly did they repair? The paperwork lists '630-7249 PCBA, LIO/AUDIO (M1) MBPRO "15' in the service detail but nothing else.

I know the boards are full of others with a "buzzing" or "static" sound that seemed to be fixed with some repair / replacement to the logic board.?

Any insight is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I think I might be able to help...assuming we're decribing the same sound.
A while back my MBP wuz making a "clicking" sound above the power button...I also sent it in for repair and - stupidly - my logic board and other things were replaced. The sound was coming from my fan, so the sound you're experiencing might also be coming from your fan, but on the left side. You can try ramping the CPU and see if that affects the severity of the sound as the fan winds up and down. Fans in the MBP have been known to be a lil shotty, so it wouldn't be a big suprise. Hopefully this helps in diagnosing the problem - if you think its the fan, its a pretty simple repair and shouldn't take long for Apple to complete. Best of luck.

Thanks for all the help, including what exactly was fixed on my MBP. As far as the logic board replacement goes, the "buzzing" (definitely not whining) is still going on. As my first post indicated, the sound is coming from the left hand side of the machine, right above the the magsafe connection. The minute I unplug my power cord the sound goes away.

It seems some others are having the same issue. At first it didn't bother me but now it's getting down right annoying. I think I'll give Apple a jingle tomorrow.
