Q: How can I deauthorize my computer from iTunes? Windows Vista - My Account signed in

I'm trying to deauthorize my Windows Vista PC computer from iTunes  12.0.1.26 and can't get an option to do that. I've signed in, can display My Account information. It tells me that one computer is authorized, but does not display the option to the right to deauthorize. I've looked in Store, Advanced, used Ctl/B to see if a menu option to deauthorize would pop up. Other Edit options do display (such as Edit Account Info, Manage devices). I am wanting to deauthorize before doing a clean install of Windows 7 (32 bit to 64 bit, so my computer will appear to be a new computer to iTunes).

    Deauthorization

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.

      1. Open iTunes on a computer

      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."

      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.

      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".

      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.

You may only do this once per year.

After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.

If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

For more information on authorization and de-authorization: iTunes Store- Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC.

Yes, Kappy, I AM on the computer I needed to deauthorize. Problem I stated was that the choices you described were not displayed; sorry that I neglected to say that I was actually trying to do it from within iTunes on the computer in question. Thank you so much for taking your time to help me and to respond so quickly. I'm anxious to start right now with my computer upgrade and this was hanging me up!

HOWEVER - I was able to solve my problem by poking around some more. At the upper left corner of iTunes screen, drop-down menu of Store, selected that and sub-menu displayed which did have the deauthorize this computer option. Done!!!
