Garageband Version 10.0.3 crashing while compressing!

I uploaded a simple voiceover mp3 into Garageband to edit - after choosing to share into iTunes, it keeps crashing while it compresses. I've tried multiple times to save the edited file but it just crashes everytime. This is a fairy new Macbook purchased this Spring - I haven't used Garageband that much on this machine so not sure what's wrong w/ it all of a sudden. I'm currently running Yosemite 10.10.2. Pls HELP!

there is an issue with an updated version of iTunes.

for many people disabling the checkBox in iTunes preferences: Preferences -> Advanced -> Share iTunes Library XML solves the issue.

if that does not work, a workaround is to use GB's Share to Disk option instead of sharing to iTunes directly (you can then drop the resulting file into iTunes to have it added to iTunes' database).
