After updating to El Capitan my unpowered usb 3 hub has stopped working.
It does not work with iPad sync or with usb flash drive. They do work when plugged directly into my Mac Mini.
Same problem here. I have a AUKEY 7 port USB 3.0 hub that does not work after the upgrade. I have a late 2012 iMac 21". Definitely was fine before the upgrade.
Same here. Since El Capitan update USB 3 flash drives do not work but USB 2 flash drives working fine.
Called support who recommended resetting SMC and NVRAM but problem remains.

Resetting both the NVRAM and SMC fixed the issue. However, I'm 99.9% sure I tried this originally and it did not work. After upgrading to 10.11.1 it seems to now be fine. It's possible I just didn't follow all the steps correctly a few weeks ago, or maybe the latest update in combination with the resets helped!
