Q: Mac to Mac Airdrop Not Working El Capitan

I can't make a connection using Airdrop between my iMac and MacBook Pro. All seems set correctly. WIFI and Bluetooth are turned on, same network, firewall off on both, devices are paired, Airdrop finder window open on both. Both Macs are late 2013 models. I can connect them using "Find an older Mac," and with file sharing. Any suggestions to try make it work using the default connection method?

I have the same problem. My MBA can't detect or find my iPhone and iPad. Airdrop for iPhone and iPad is working properly since i can transfer between those devices but not in my mac.

Same problem here. Airdrop is ok among iPad mini & iPhone 6 (iOS 9.02). But I cannot connect my iPhone to my MacBook pro (2015) OS X 10.11 The success ratio is 1/10. Tried re-pairing, etc. It doesn't make any difference. It only connects when it feels like it, which is seldom....

the Same here:

iMac 5k
ipad mini 4
iphone 5

imac will not recognise iPad or iphone. IPhone and iPad recognising each other but not recognising imac. The same network the same iCloud account
latest software.
