I'm seeking virus protection on Imac 10.6.8, on a computer that over 10years old. The virus on on my Safari web browser. I deleted the Safari and reinstalled it but the virus came back. The virus didn't effect my Firefox browser.

It is not a virus. It may be the website has a spoof of a virus that would be of greater concern if you were running Windows.

Maybe I did something wrong but the only thing it did for me was open up Safari from the page I put in as my home page. Once I went to Netzero mail the pop up ads starting again.
