share not working

I created a project in iMovie 10.0.9 and shared the first edition no problem. Made a few vital changes to the project and now it will not share. It says it's sharing but the time remaining keeps going up instead of down. So basically nothing is happening. The project is only 4 minutes long. Also, you can tell it's really crunching as my fan starts up pretty loud.

Here are some things I tried:

1) uninstalling and reinstalling

2) clearing application cache

3) create a new library and transferring all the media

4) create a new project and start over from scratch

5) restarting and shut down too many times to count

HELP! I have a vital project due and I am gonna get fired!
