Etrecheck should tell you if any genuine issue has loaded. If not, then I would not go to websites that suggest that it is happening, and force quit the web browser upon arriving at said website. command-option-escape force quits. Do you have any anti-virus or firewall software?

My suggestion is to uninstall TrendMicro.

I had the same problem.

Then, I think the antivirus blocked the internet connection and give me problems to logoff the iMac, so I have uninstalled Trend Micro.

I am waiting an answer from Trend.

Did you take trendmicro because you had/have a windows system. It has never been necessary for a Mac.

Trend Micro is a worthless piece scamware that your Mac is much better off not have installed on it.
