Text Messaging Blocked by Gray Bar in iPhone
After I sent messages, a gray oval with 0.00 appears where I am typing so I cannot see the type. I can only see the message I typed after I press send.

Have you downloaded and installed the latest update (iOS 9.1)? A significant number of people were having that problem since iOS 9 but iOS 9.1 had a fix for it.
Before iOS 9.1, one solution (at least a temporary one) was to quit Messages and then double-click the Home button to open the app switcher. In the app switcher find the Messages app and slide it up to remove it. Then close app switcher by clicking the Home button.
