External Hard Drive Problem After El Capitan Upgrade

Hi there, I ran into an issue after I upgraded from OS X Mavericks to OS X El Capitan. I went to go add something to an external hard drive that I have, and after the update it won't let me put anything in there. It just rejects it when I try to drop it in. I've had the drive for at least a year now and it's been working fine, but after this update I can't use it anymore. I'm curious to see if anyone has any advice for me.

I also have the similar problem. The external HDD can be accessed read-only mode only.

Apple, Please update ASAP.

I hope Apple will fix this shortly.

My Seagate 1tb hard disk which was compatible with both mac and windows and i had been using since months for my mac and now format is changed to NTFS after El Capitan, i can copy files to my mac but cannot export them to hard disk, please help!

Unplug the hard drive wait a minute then restart the computer and plug back in the hard drive and then give it a whirl and it should work fine if not then restart the computer again and it should be fine.
