will el capitan run on 2010 mac mini

Some users always have problems with major updates. I have not seen any problems specific to the Mac Mini.

Any mac that can Yosemite (or ML or Mavericks) can run El Capitan

FWIW, I have El Capitan running on my 2010 Mini 2.4 GHz which is being used as

a server and it is functioning just fine with iTunes 12.3 set up for Home Sharing.

All the services such as cacheing and file access seem to be okay.

(Surprised they didn't force an upgrade of Server to work with El Capitan like they did

with Yosemite).

I am using it in headless mode and all my Macs still connect to it via Screen Sharing without

any issue.

Some apps may require updating. Some peripherals may require updated drivers. For some peripherals updated drivers for El Capitan are not available.

If you only have 4 GB or less of memory that is marginal.
