Can't copy part of a take, I need help!

Hi,

I'm migrating from Logic 7. I have a bass track that is 'comped' from 2 takes. I have the 'comped' part on top and the 2 takes underneath. I like the way I played the end to the first verse and want to copy and paste it to the last verse. I used to (logic7) just snip the section, copy it to a new lane and position where I need it. I'm unable to work like this in Logic X. It won't let me copy/paste any section of the takes. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've searched and all I find is the same info that assumes I don't want o move anything.
