Q: Where are the updates? (7.6.4)

I've looked in every corner of this page, but I'm pretty sure there is no download link:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1673?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Also, the system requirements do not show, on any browser although the menu does toggle.

So… where is the 7.6.4 update? I *think* this is the last one for my generation of Airport Express.

    1) What is the model number of your AirPort Express?

If you are not sure, look on the side or bottom of the device. The model number is hard to see.....gray lettering on a white background, so you may need reading glasses and good lighting. The model number starts with an "A" followed by four numbers.  You might see A1084, A1264, or A1392 for example.

    2) What operating system are you using on your computer?

If you have a Mac and are not sure which operating system it is using, click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then click About This Mac and post back with the OS X Version number that you see there.

If you have a PC, then you will need to make sure that AirPort Utility 5.6.1 for Windows - Apple is installed on your computer.

Post back with the information about 1) and 2) above, so we can get started.

The most up to date firmware for the A1088 would be 6.3.

Apple has not offered an update for the A1088 model in over 10 years. The device would not be compatible with any 7.x version of firmware, so no use in trying to explore that option.

Pat yourself on the back. It's a minor miracle that the A1088 is still working.

I did a bit more investigation. The issue was that it was stuttering and cutting out on iTunes. I've since learned this is an issue with the last two iTunes updates and not the Airport (people are reporting the issue with all kinds of AirPlay devices). I'm using Airfoil now, which is fine. Yes, it is amazing it still works. The first one packed up recently (the green light was flashing at super fast strobe speed!). This was given to me. It's been working fine. They run very hot and everyone I know who had one of these has said their's packed in already. Very few made it beyond 3-4 years of use. The new one is far too expensive. When this packs in, it'll be one of the third party devices that do the same thing for a quarter of the cost.

Thanks for the help, it wasn't clear at all from the Apple site (since they keep mucking about with it!) which version was valid or not, nor why there is no download link on the page I've posted above.
