I recently and inadvertently deleted GarageBand from my Mac OS X 10.6.8. How do I download a version of GarageBand that is compatible with my system? The only version I can locate at the Apple app store requires a newer version.

How did you delete GarageBand? If you only deleted the application restore GarageBand from the last Time Machine backup you made before you deleted the app, if you cannot find your installers. If you completely uninstalled the application you will need to restore the the sounds and loops as as well from your backup.
