If by how far, you mean distance, then Bluetooth, assuming no obstructions, walls, etc, should be good for about 30 feet.
It will vary a lot depending on what device you are pairing with. Typically, in real world use with class 2 devices (like smart phones), BT is only good for about 10 meters or ~33 feet or so, at best. Many devices will prove to only work well or reliably at less than that.
