Just got mine working. I went into the preferences and deleted everything "com.intuit" deleted the trash then restarted the computer. When QB opens like the first time you purchased it, create a new business like Test once business is open you can delete the "orange bar" stating that your 2013 version will no longer work after May 31st, 2015 Final restart to ensure you are opening properly, then locate your real company file and proceed as normal.

Basic instructions.

Open Finder

Click on “Go” menu

Press and hold the “alt/option” key

While holding the option key click on “Libruary”

In the “search” menu type in “com.intuit”

Delete all files that appear

Delete garbage

Restart computer

Open QuickBooks

QB should start as if it is the first time you have used it if not then repeat above items.

If QB starts like new then create a business – use a name that is generic like test company. Do not input any real information. Once you are able to get quickbooks to load properly the orange bar should have an “X” on it so you can close out the virus. Once you have successfully closed out the orange bar, close QB and restart your computer.

Open QB if orange bar is still present redo above steps.

QB should open normally without orange bar.

Once it has opened properly go to file and “open” locate your company records and relaunch.
