Why does the following window message appear after upgrading to el capitain on my imac?

To use the "java" command-line tool you need to install a JDK.

Click "More info..." to visit the Java Developer Kit download website.

Thank you,

Hi,

I had this problem as well. I couldn't find a JDK to download here but only JRE, which didn't solve anything no matter how many times I'd install and reinstall it, and even if it was the "latest version" of Java.

Try downloading the actual JDK from Oracle's website as well: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.h tml

Select the "Mac OS X" JDK in the first list (the second list is for demos). It worked perfectly for me. It's simple and fast.

Hope it helped,

Here the solution:

1) Right-click Finder

2) Select 'Go To Folder'

3) Type in the search window " ~/Library/LaunchAgents/ "

4) If available, right-click the file " com.facebook.videochat.USERNAME.plist "

5) Select " Move to Trash "

6) Empty Trash

7) Restart Mac. Message should no longer be popping up.

Others solutions on this page, but the one above is the best, for me.

Well, Google Chrome may be generating this, but there must be other applications that generate this error, since i am not using Chrome and see this message popping up now and then.

I am sure that on my system it is some background process that tries to do an action now and then and when it does, i get the message.

Does anyone out there knows how i can find out what application or plugin is triggering this?
