The Network window doesn't recognise the device now. Earlier in Yosemite it worked fine . Help!

Does the manufacturer website mention support for El Capitan?
Check with the vendor for a driver update for that adapter.

Quantum Usb to lan adapter not working in El Capitan, it worked fine with Yosemite.
