iMovie 10.0 can't open library

Running Yosemite, I can open iMovie 10.0.9 into a small, unused library, but when I attempt to open my main library via the File>Open Library... menu, I get this error: “__Sync__” couldn’t be removed. When I double-click the same library in the Finder, I get this: The document “Movies 1TB Library” could not be opened.

Any ideas?
