How do I turn off Game Center if it is not working?

I have iOS 9.0.2 installed on my iPod Touch 5th generation and my Game Center has not been working correctly since I first installed iOS 9. When I try to load Games that use Game Center they freeze up and crash (most of the time). If I go into the Game Center app all it shows is a white screen and if I try to access Game Center in settings it just freezes up and shows a buffering symbol. I can't play most of my games and I'm tired of waiting for Apple to release a fix, so until Apple fixes this bug is there any way I can turn off/temporarily disable Game Center without having to go into settings or the Game Center app?

No, you have to go to Settings>Game center and sign out.

Have you tried:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
