My macbook pro mid 2012 13's RAM fills on startup as well as lagging a lot and taking a long time to open apps. can someone help me? thanks

Since Mavericks OSX, the system will try to use as much RAM as possible. The new metric for efficiency is PRESSURE. If it is green, all is well. If it turns orange or red, then there may be concern.
