Focus Points won't show with Nikon D5500

I recently upgraded from a Nikon D3200 to a D5500 and noticed that the "show focus points" option no longer works in Aperture. It works fine with files from my old D3200 (which I still have and tested). Aperture has been updated to the latest version along with the RAW camera updates (6.03). Has anyone else noticed this or have a fix for it?
