I have tried my iphone headphone with the Macbook Pro (13" mid 2012). I can control volume and stop and play the music, but no sound is coming out.
What to do to solve this? or how do I know if my Output is not working?

I have tried NVRAM, same problem. see picture below showing nothing when i plug the headphone
The display you posted shows 'headphones' as the source. Mine does the same.
Open System Preferences>Sound>Output. What does it show there?

It shows headphones; but still can't hear any thing; I can record with the headphone mic clearly. Is there a way to find out if the audio output is working properly or not?
What happens when you open iTunes and play a track? Any sound?

Yes my headphones work fine on other devices. but not on my MBP; i tried 3 differente headphones. the mic works and i can't hear any thing
Assuming that the headphone jack is compatible, it is pointing to a hardware problem, specifically to the internal switch.
Insert the jack and press the function keys for volume. If no success, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a FREE evaluation.
