Final Cut Pro X Trial won't install on my brand new Macbook Air.

I just got a new MacBook Air not even a week ago and i wanted to install the Final Cut Pro X Trial but it won't install. It downloaded, but in the installer steps (3rd step named Destination Select) it is saying "Final Cut Pro X Trial can't be installed on this disk. The contents of this disk can't be changed." what does this mean? why won't it install if its just a trial? how do i fix this? thanks

TThis doesn't sound like an FCPX issue, more like the OS or the hardware. Installing Apple software requires a user account that has permission to alter the drive. But there is not likely anything wrong with the package or payload you've downloaded. Can you install anything else? Parental controls activated?
